Course Pre-requisites

Candidates must have completed either the CPCS A59 180 Degree Excavator course or the NPORS N202 180 Degree Excavator course and hold the Red ‘Trained Operator’ CPCS/NPORS card. A minimum of 6 months of documented experience operating 180 Degree Excavators on UK construction sites is required.

Course Structure

This NVQ consists of four essential units:

  1. Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
  2. Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
  3. Preparing and Operating 180 Degree Excavators to Extract and Excavate Ground and Loose Materials in the Workplace (Excavator 180 degrees crawler and wheeled above 5 tonne)
